Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies results, not retained by our servers as a search history. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host maintains routine server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use this limited information to operate the service, correct technical problems, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
External Websites
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service controls the information submitted there under its own policies. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Who Can Receive It
Hosting and support providers process routine logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure or as otherwise described here.
Protecting Information
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the purposes described above. Because this site has no accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed here.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Ask through the Contact page to access, correct, or delete personal data that we keep. Since we retain very little, we normally check the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then remove information we find. Research for Summit County found no verified broad Ohio consumer data-broker deletion statute. Public records are held by their government custodians, not us: the Ohio Public Records Act, O.R.C. § 149.43, governs access to many such records; O.R.C. § 149.45 provides certain internet-redaction procedures; O.R.C. § 3503.13 excludes specified voter data; and O.R.C. § 3705.23 governs access to Ohio vital records. Requests about a public record must go to the custodian.
Policy Updates
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
